What is the London Season?

The London Season is the annual run of social and sporting fixtures that begins in spring and closes in late summer — Royal Ascot, the Chelsea Flower Show, Trooping the Colour, the Boat Race, Wimbledon, Henley Royal Regatta, Glorious Goodwood and Cowes Week among them. Several of its anchors sit outside London: Ascot is in Berkshire, Henley in Oxfordshire, Goodwood in West Sussex and Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The calendar above lists each fixture with its published dates, and marks which are in town.

What luxury events are on in London this month?

London's luxury calendar runs on two tracks: the Season's dated fixtures, and the discrete occasions the city's houses put on — a gala at a five-star hotel, an evening sale at an auction house, an opening night at the opera, a residency in a Michelin room. The calendar above lists the confirmed dates for the months ahead, each with its venue and its official reference.

When are the London art and auction weeks?

The autumn art week centres on Frieze London and Frieze Masters in Regent’s Park in October, with the major auction houses timing their evening sales to the same week. A second cluster falls in the spring sales calendar, and the art fairs run through the winter. Dates are published four to eight weeks ahead and are listed above as each house confirms them.

How do I plan a private event around the London Season?

LIT.ME plans and produces private and corporate events across Mayfair, Chelsea, Knightsbridge and Belgravia — dinners, receptions and parties built around the Season or standing on their own. Clients work with one point of contact and the collective behind it. Make an enquiry through this page and the team will respond with a proposal.
