Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden lead Dolly Alderton’s six-part Netflix Pride and Prejudice, with Olivia Colman as Mrs Bennet, and its world premiere is listed for London.
Pride and Prejudice, Dolly Alderton’s six-part Netflix adaptation of the Jane Austen novel, is listed for its world premiere in London on Tuesday 1 December 2026. Emma Corrin plays Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden plays Mr Darcy.
Olivia Colman plays Mrs Bennet and Rufus Sewell plays Mr Bennet. Freya Mavor is Jane Bennet, Louis Partridge is Mr Wickham and Fiona Shaw is Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
Austen published the novel in 1813. Alderton, whose first book was the memoir Everything I Know About Love, wrote the series, and Euros Lyn of Heartstopper directs it.
Lookout Point, a BBC Studios company, produces the series for Netflix. Corrin takes a first executive producer credit alongside Alderton and Lyn.
Filming began in July 2025, with scenes shot in Spitalfields in the East End of London and in the Peak District. Rye in East Sussex stands in for Meryton, the market town near the Bennet home.
Alderton gave a first look at the characters at the Jane Austen Festival in Bath, where she announced the release date. The series arrives on Netflix on Thursday 3 December.
