Stevie Wonder plays Songs in the Key of Life in full at The O2 arena, fifty years after the album that remade his career.
Stevie Wonder, winner of 25 Grammy Awards, plays Songs in the Key of Life at The O2 arena in North Greenwich on Tuesday 3 and Thursday 5 November 2026.
He signed to Motown at 11 and had an American number one at 12 with “Fingertips, Part 2”, cut live before his voice had broken. He has since sold more than 100 million records.
Songs in the Key of Life was his 18th album, the end of a run that began with Music of My Mind in 1972. The year before it, he had planned to retire to Ghana and work with disabled children. Motown then signed him to a seven-year contract with full artistic control and ownership of his publishing.
The album entered the American chart at number one, the first album ever to do that. It won the third of his three Album of the Year awards, and it sits in the Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry.
The anniversary tour comes 50 years after the record’s release and performs the whole of it, both discs and the bonus EP, including “Sir Duke” and “Isn’t She Lovely”.
