Function 30 × 10 Years of LSD

Saturday, 7 November 2026 E1 · Wapping

LSD, the live trio of Luke Slater, Steve Bicknell and Function, mark ten years together and three decades of Function’s career with a live set and a solo set at E1.

LSD, the techno trio of Luke Slater, Steve Bicknell and Function, play a live set at E1 in Wapping on Saturday 7 November 2026. Function follows with a solo set.

Function, born David Sumner in Canarsie, Brooklyn, released his first record in 1996. He founded the Infrastructure label in New York and joined Regis and the late Silent Servant in Sandwell District.

Luke Slater, born in Reading in 1968, was DJing at Heaven during acid house and is best known as Planetary Assault Systems. Steve Bicknell came to techno through dub, pirate radio and warehouse parties. With Sheree Rashit he co-founded LOST in London, a night that ran for more than 25 years.

The three formed LSD in 2016 and released Process on Ostgut Ton in 2017, followed by Second Process in 2019.

The project joins one career from New York with two from the London scene of the late 1980s. E1 and OPEN//FORM present the night as a double anniversary: ten years of LSD and 30 years of Function’s records.

London’s Livid opens the night.
