LIT.ME event producer planning a private event in Mayfair, London

Event Producer / Planner

London

/ About the Role

LIT.ME Events is looking for an event producer to take private celebrations, corporate events and curated gatherings across London from first brief to final strike.

You are the one point of contact: for the client, for the venue, and for every supplier on the job. That means the deck and the budget as much as the night itself — recces, floor plans, schedules, contracts, risk assessments and method statements, then load-in, the show, and the strike at two in the morning.

You would usually be running several events at different stages. Some are a dinner in a private room. Some are a full build in a raw space, where the power, the kitchen and the washrooms all have to be brought in. You will know guest lists, home addresses and what people spend. None of it leaves the job.

/ Responsibilities

What a job asks of you varies. In practice, the work is:

  • Taking an event from first brief to final invoice: concept, budget, suppliers, run of show, delivery and wrap
  • Site visits, floor plans and production schedules, and the venue paperwork — licences, RAMS, insurance certificates, load-in windows
  • Booking and holding suppliers to their contracts, and to their timings on the day
  • Running the floor on the night, across crew, talent, security and service
  • Being the person the client asks, and solving what they should never have to hear about
  • Reconciling the budget afterwards, chasing supplier invoices and writing down what you would do differently

/ Candidate Profile

Titles matter less than what you have actually delivered. These are the things we actually look at:

  • Several years producing high-end private or corporate events in London, agency side or in-house
  • A deck or a list of events you have run, with budgets and guest numbers attached
  • Fluent with budgets and reconciliation, and the confidence to tell a client what something really costs
  • Comfortable with venue paperwork: risk assessments, method statements, licensing and supplier insurance
  • Able to hold two or three jobs at different stages without dropping any of them
  • Calm at eleven at night when a supplier has not turned up
  • Availability on evenings, weekends and through December
  • Based in London, with the right to work in the UK
