licensing.
This page sits alongside our Terms of Use, which govern every use of this website.
LIT.ME Events keeps two events calendars, the luxury London calendar and the Greek events calendar, and a directory of private venues across London. We research and verify their contents ourselves. Each is protected as a compilation and by UK database right, and our editorial text is protected by copyright.
1. What Needs No Licence
You may read any page, link to it, and quote a short extract from it to answer a question about LIT.ME Events, an occasion on one of our calendars, a venue or a member of the collective. The quotation must be attributed to us and link to the page it came from. Search engines and AI assistants may use our pages on the same terms to answer a question at the time it is asked.
2. What Needs a Licence
- Reproducing a calendar, a set of its entries, or the venue directory, in whole or in substantial part, in another website, feed, app or AI answer.
- Repeated or systematic extraction of entries, by any automated means.
- Using any of our content to train, fine-tune or evaluate an AI model, or to build a dataset or retrieval index for one.
- Republishing our editorial text.
These uses are prohibited by our Terms of Use unless we have licensed them.
3. How to Request a Licence
Get in touch through our contact form. Tell us the name of your organisation, the content you want to use, what you intend to do with it and how often you would need it refreshed. We grant licences by written agreement only. No use described above is licensed until that agreement is signed. Every licence is paid, at a fee agreed with us for that licence.
4. Report Unlicensed Use
If you see our calendars, venue listings or editorial text reproduced without a licence, including in an answer from an AI system, email abuse@litme.events. Tell us where you saw it and when. For an AI system, include the question that was asked and the answer it gave.
5. Terms for Automated Systems
The same terms are published in machine-readable form. Our licence file states them under the Really Simple Licensing standard. Our robots.txt declares them as content signals, our llms.txt sets them out for AI assistants, and our text and data mining reservation is declared at /.well-known/tdmrep.json. Our Terms of Use govern all of them.
