Birmingham’s Duran Duran, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees since 2022, bring their Halloween show to The O2 arena in North Greenwich on Saturday 31 October 2026. It is the first time they have staged the party in London.

Childhood friends Nick Rhodes and John Taylor formed the band in 1978. By 1980 the line-up had settled with Simon Le Bon, Andy Taylor and Roger Taylor, playing as the resident band at the city’s Rum Runner nightclub.

“Planet Earth” gave them a first hit in 1981, and Rio followed in 1982. The band’s videos put them at the head of the MTV-driven second British invasion of America.

“Is There Something I Should Know?” and “The Reflex” both reached number one. In 1985 “A View to a Kill” became the only James Bond theme to reach number one in America.

London has seen them headline before: they played the Olympic celebration in Hyde Park in 2012. This night grows out of Danse Macabre, their Halloween album of 2023, which mixed new songs, reworked material and covers. The set follows the record’s lead, with hits, deep cuts and songs rarely played live.
