Suede, whose debut album won the 1993 Mercury Prize, share a co-headline bill with Manic Street Preachers at The O2 arena in North Greenwich on Friday 6 November 2026.

Suede formed in London in 1989, when Brett Anderson and Justine Frischmann recruited the bassist Mat Osman and the guitarist Bernard Butler. “Animal Nitrate” took them into the top ten in February 1993.

Butler left during the sessions for Dog Man Star, and Coming Up became their biggest commercial success in 1996. Reunited in 2010, they released a tenth album, Antidepressants, in September 2025.

Since Autofiction reached number two in 2022, Suede have played to the largest audiences of their career, Alexandra Palace in the summer of 2024 among them. Coming Up turns 30 this year.

Manic Street Preachers formed at Oakdale Comprehensive School in Blackwood, South Wales, in 1986. Their guitarist and lyricist Richey Edwards disappeared in February 1995, and the other three continued with his family’s blessing to make Everything Must Go.

“If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next” became their first number one in 1998. They arrive with Critical Thinking, their 2025 album, after festival headlines from Glastonbury to Reading and Leeds.
