Tame Impala play a three-night stand at The O2 arena on 1, 2 and 3 June 2027, with Wet Leg opening.
Tame Impala is Kevin Parker, from Perth, and on record it is only Kevin Parker: he writes, plays, produces and mixes everything, then assembles a band to take it out. Innerspeaker in 2010 and Lonerism in 2012 built a psychedelic-rock reputation, and then Currents in 2015 threw the guitars out for synthesisers and disco rhythms and turned him into one of the most imitated producers of the following decade. Everyone from pop stars to rappers has since hired him to make their records sound like his.
The songs are about isolation, hesitation and being slightly outside the room, sung in a high, processed voice that sounds like it is coming from another building. The live show is the opposite: enormous, loud, and built around light. He has been at it for sixteen years and has still never toured a record he did not make alone, which is an unusual amount of control for a project this size to have kept.
Deadbeat, the fifth album, came out in October 2025. He plays The O2 arena on Tuesday 1, Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 June 2027 — the third night added after the first two sold — with Wet Leg opening every date of the tour rather than the London ones alone. Three nights at the arena, with a British band opening who have their own claim on the room.
