Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s Valentine’s gala reaches its tenth year at The Chancery Rosewood, raising money for the hospital’s new Children’s Cancer Centre.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity holds the 10th Love GOSH, its annual Valentine’s gala, at The Chancery Rosewood in Mayfair on Thursday 11 February 2027.

Great Ormond Street Hospital opened on 14 February 1852 with ten beds, the first hospital in England to provide in-patient beds for children. It grew under the patronage of Queen Victoria.

Charles Dickens, a friend of its chief physician, Dr West, was among its first fundraisers. In 1929 J. M. Barrie gave the hospital the copyright in Peter Pan, which it still licenses. It is now the largest centre for research and postgraduate teaching in children’s health in Europe.

Love GOSH has raised more than £5.4 million for the hospital’s most urgent appeals, including a new high dependency unit and the Sight and Sound Centre. The February 2026 edition raised a record £1.2 million, and past performers include Craig David, Ronan Keating and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

This year’s money goes to the new Children’s Cancer Centre at the hospital. Around 380 guests arrive along a pink carpet for a champagne reception and a three-course dinner hosted by a celebrity guest.

Live and silent auctions of holidays, experiences and artwork follow, and dancing closes the night.
