The 84th Members' Meeting runs at the Goodwood Motor Circuit on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April 2027. Tickets go only to members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club.
The first Members’ Meeting was run at Goodwood on 13 August 1949, for members of the British Automobile Racing Club, and the series continued until the circuit closed to racing in 1966. It was brought back in 2014 as the 72nd, picking up the numbering exactly where it had been left forty-eight years earlier. It is run for the Goodwood Road Racing Club and its members rather than for a general audience.
That is what separates it from the estate’s other two motoring weekends. The crowd is capped, the paddock is open, and the racing is closer to a club meeting than to a show, with grids assembled around a theme rather than a marque and demonstrations that would be too experimental for a public gate. Drivers who race here are often the same people who own the cars.
The 2027 meeting is on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April at the Motor Circuit outside Chichester. It opens the estate’s motorsport year, three months before the Festival of Speed and five before the Revival. Tickets go to members of the club and to those they bring, which keeps the numbers at a level the paddock can absorb. The Festival of Speed opened in 1993 and the Revival in 1998, so this is the oldest of the three by four decades and the youngest as a revival by sixteen years.
