Bonobo brings the Distance in Static live show to the Great Hall at Alexandra Palace on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February 2027, the London nights of a six-city British tour.
Bonobo is Simon Green, a British producer who has spent twenty-five years making electronic music that behaves more like chamber music: patient, acoustically textured, built to be played by people rather than triggered. Migration in 2017 and Fragments in 2022 both reached number five in Britain, and he has sold over 900,000 records without having an obvious hit. Seven Grammy nominations have followed, five in the dance and electronic categories, a tally matched only by The Chemical Brothers, Skrillex and Madonna.
The live show is why the rooms got this big. It is a full band, guest vocalists and visuals built for the space, at a scale electronic musicians were told would not translate; he has sold out the Sydney Opera House and Red Rocks on it. His five consecutive nights at the Royal Albert Hall are the longest run there by any solo artist and the longest ever by an electronic musician.
He returns to the Great Hall on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February 2027, having sold it out before, with a new live show built around Distance in Static. Ninja Tune released the record on 11 September 2026; parts of it were made at Neil Young’s Broken Arrow Ranch in California, and Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes and Nilüfer Yanya sing on it, in English, Urdu and Japanese. Five other British cities take the tour in February and London closes it.
