Bonobo, the electronic producer who fills rooms without an obvious hit, brings the Distance in Static live show to Alexandra Palace’s Great Hall.
Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February 2027 bring Bonobo back to Alexandra Palace’s Great Hall for two nights, the London date on a six-city British tour behind Distance in Static.
Bonobo is Simon Green, a British producer who has spent twenty-five years making electronic music that behaves more like chamber music: patient, acoustically textured, built to be played by people rather than triggered. Migration in 2017 and Fragments in 2022 both reached number five in Britain, and he has sold over 900,000 records without having an obvious hit. Seven Grammy nominations have followed, five in the dance and electronic categories, a tally matched only by The Chemical Brothers, Skrillex and Madonna.
It is a full band, guest vocalists and visuals built for the space; he has filled the Sydney Opera House and Red Rocks with it. His five consecutive nights at the Royal Albert Hall are the longest run there by any solo artist and the longest ever by an electronic musician.
He has filled the Great Hall before, and brings a new show built around Distance in Static. Ninja Tune released the record on 11 September 2026, recorded partly at Neil Young’s Broken Arrow Ranch in California, with Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes and Nilüfer Yanya singing in English, Urdu and Japanese. Five other cities take the tour in February; London closes it.
