Sub Focus, the Guildford producer who carried drum and bass into the top ten, brings his in-the-round Circular Sound production to The O2.
Sub Focus, whose singles “Endorphins” and “Turn Back Time” reached the top ten, brings Circular Sound to The O2 arena in North Greenwich on Friday 26 March 2027. It is his first arena headline with the in-the-round production.
Sub Focus is Nick Douwma, born in 1982 and raised in Guildford. A rock fan, he found production software at 13 and taught himself to make dance music after hearing M-Beat and General Levy’s “Incredible”.
He studied sound engineering, and in 2003 a friend passed one of his demos to Andy C, who signed every track to RAM Records. “Rock It” took him into the top forty in 2009, the year of his self-titled debut album.
Both top ten singles came from Torus, in 2013. Contact, his fourth solo album, reached the top ten in 2025. With Dimension, Culture Shock and 1991 he founded the WORSHIP collective, which gave drum and bass its first headline show at Red Rocks.
Circular Sound began in the Great Hall at Alexandra Palace in March 2025, before 10,000 people with the crowd on every side. He curates its widescreen visuals himself.
