Oasis open Live ’27 with five nights at Celtic Park in Glasgow, the city where Creation Records first heard the band in 1993.
Oasis open Live ’27 with five nights at Celtic Park in Glasgow, on Friday 21, Sunday 23, Tuesday 25, Friday 28 and Saturday 29 May 2027. These are the tour’s first dates, and its only Scottish ones.
In May 1993 Oasis, still unsigned, were invited to play King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow by Sister Lovers, a band who shared their rehearsal rooms. Creation Records co-owner Alan McGee was in the room and signed them.
Built around two brothers, the singer Liam Gallagher and the songwriter Noel Gallagher, the band released Definitely Maybe in 1994. It was the fastest-selling debut album in British history at the time. (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, carrying “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back In Anger”, became the biggest-selling studio album of all time in Britain.
Scotland has drawn them back at every peak. In August 1996 they played to 80,000 people over two nights at Balloch Country Park on Loch Lomond, a week before Knebworth. After the 2009 split, the reunion tour, Live ’25, came to Murrayfield in Edinburgh in August 2025.
The tour plays no London room. Richard Ashcroft, who joined the final leg of Live ’25, returns as special guest.
