Now in its twelfth edition, Photo London gives the National Hall at Olympia over to the photography trade from 13 to 16 May 2027.
Photo London, the capital’s fair for photography, holds its twelfth edition in the National Hall at Olympia London in West Kensington from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 May 2027. The preview is on Wednesday 12 May.
Daniel Newburg established the fair in 2004 and held it at the Royal Academy until 2006. It moved to Old Billingsgate for 2007 and then stopped.
Photo London relaunched in 2015 at Somerset House, drawing 20,000 visitors and 70 galleries from more than 20 countries in its first year back. It has grown every edition since, and London has had a photography fair ever since.
A photograph exists in an edition, and its value depends on when the print was made and by whom. A screen shows none of that, so the trade depends on standing in front of the object and asking.
The fair also runs a public programme of exhibitions, talks and awards beside the dealers, which is unusual for a commercial floor. The programme is announced with the exhibitor list.
Olympia is a change of building for the fair. Its scale allows more galleries than Somerset House could hold.
