Marco Carola, the Naples techno figure who built Music On into an Ibiza institution, holds the Theatre at KOKO for two nights across the Boxing Day weekend.
Marco Carola, the Naples DJ who built Music On into an Ibiza residency, plays the Theatre at KOKO in Camden on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 December 2026.
Carola was born in Naples in 1975 and began DJing at fifteen. Through the 1990s he released hard, functional techno on labels he founded himself, among them Design, One Thousands, Zenit and Question.
Later records came out on Plus 8 and Minus, and his mix for the London club fabric’s series appeared in 2006. In 2011 he launched Music On at the Shelbourne Hotel in Miami.
At Amnesia in Ibiza, where he also held a two-year residency with Cocoon, Music On ran as his own night from 2012 to 2018. Its signature was the long, unbroken set, and at Sunwaves in Romania in 2015 he played for twenty-four hours without a break.
KOKO has given him the holiday weekend before, closing December 2023 with a Carola night in the same room. This year he plays two consecutive nights across the Boxing Day weekend, each a full set in the Theatre, in the long-form style of Music On.
