Groove Armada, the London duo behind the Grammy-nominated “Superstylin’”, play a DJ set at Ironworks in Silvertown on Saturday 31 October 2026. Sidney Charles and Egyptian Lover join them for Appetite’s Halloween takeover of the warehouse room.
Andy Cato and Tom Findlay were introduced by a mutual friend in the mid-1990s. Their first venture together was a club night of their own, named after a 1970s discothèque, and the records followed.
“At the River”, built on a sample of Patti Page’s “Old Cape Cod”, became one of their best-known tracks. Their 1999 album Vertigo went silver and carried “I See You Baby”. Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub) turned them towards the dancefloor in 2001.
The duo moved between trip-hop, house and rock, working with Neneh Cherry, Richie Havens and Will Young. “Hands of Time” was used in the film Collateral, and Black Light in 2010 opened what Findlay called the darker side of the project.
The live band played its farewell concerts in Australia and New Zealand in 2022, so the catalogue now travels as a DJ set. In 2025 the pair remixed PinkPantheress’s “Stateside”. Ironworks gives them the afternoon and evening on Thames Wharf.
