Oasis bring Live ’27 home to Manchester for eleven nights at the Etihad Stadium, the longest stand of a tour that plays no London date.
Oasis, the Manchester band behind (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, play eleven nights of Live ’27 at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, from Friday 4 to Saturday 26 June 2027. Richard Ashcroft joins them as special guest.
The band formed around two brothers, Liam Gallagher, the singer, and Noel Gallagher, the songwriter. Creation Records co-owner Alan McGee saw them at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow in May 1993 and signed them.
Definitely Maybe followed in 1994 and became the fastest-selling debut album in British history at the time. Its successor, the record of “Wonderwall”, became the biggest-selling studio album of all time in Britain.
In April 1996 the band played their first headline outdoor concerts at Maine Road, then home of Manchester City. They split in 2009 and returned with Live ’25, which came to Heaton Park and played seven nights at Wembley.
Live ’27 plays no London date, and Manchester holds more nights than any other city on the tour. These are home shows in the city where the band began.
Ashcroft joined the final leg of Live ’25 and returns for this run.
