Hamdi, the producer behind the dubstep record “Skanka”, brings his own night, Hamdi FC, to Outernet Live in the West End on Saturday 21 November 2026. Flava D, Jaz Imsky and Sam Deeley join him on the bill.

Alexander Hamdi grew up in Oxford and found grime at around nine through Dizzee Rascal’s Showtime. Dubstep came a few years later, when his tennis coach played him the local duo Document One.

He played his first DJ sets in 2016 at the Cellar, a small basement club since closed. An early collaboration with Sammy Virji, “Show Me”, found its way into bassline sets. He spent close to a decade building a catalogue across garage, grime and dubstep.

Self-released in December 2021 and reissued on DUPLOC the following May, “Skanka” made him a global name. “Counting” and “Criminal”, with Zeds Dead, followed, along with a guest spot with Fred Again at Alexandra Palace.

This year brought “Echo Chamber” with Simula, his Anywhere & Everywhere club tour and a stage at Reading and Leeds. He is one of the few artists who DJ and MC at once, and Hamdi FC puts him at the top of his own bill.
