All twelve nations of the first Nations Championship meet at Twickenham over three days, with the two group leaders contesting the Grand Final on the Sunday.
All 12 teams of the first Nations Championship, rugby’s new contest between the two hemispheres, meet at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham over three days from Friday 27 November 2026. The Grand Final is on Sunday 29 November.
Six Nations Rugby and SANZAAR, which run the annual championships of the two hemispheres, created the tournament together. The biennial contest is held only in years with no Rugby World Cup or British and Irish Lions tour, replacing the Autumn Nations Series.
The six European nations form one group. Australia, Argentina, New Zealand and South Africa form the other with Japan and Fiji, who join by invitation. Over the July and November Test windows, each team plays all six sides in the other group for points.
The ground, the Rugby Football Union’s home since it opened in October 1909 and the second-largest stadium in Britain, was confirmed as host of the first finals.
The weekend has six fixtures, pairing teams by group position: first plays first, second plays second, and so on down both tables. The meeting of the two group leaders on the Sunday decides the first champion, and the next edition follows in 2028.
