Götterdämmerung

Barrie Kosky’s Ring cycle reaches its conclusion at Covent Garden, with Götterdämmerung on the Main Stage from Thursday 21 January to Sunday 7 February 2027. Antonio Pappano, Conductor Laureate of The Royal Opera, conducts, with Elisabet Strid, Andreas Schager and Mika Kares in the principal roles. The performance lasts around six hours and ten minutes, with two intervals — the first of forty minutes, the second of a full hour. Tickets are not yet on sale; general booking opens on 21 October 2026. The first night’s curtain is at four in the afternoon, which is the hour a Götterdämmerung of that length requires.
