The Royal Windsor Horse Show runs from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 May 2027 in the private grounds of Windsor Castle.
The Royal Windsor Horse Show has been held annually since 1943 in Windsor Home Park, and its own club was founded the following year. It is the only week in the year when the private grounds of Windsor Castle are opened to the public, and the show has always been attended by the Royal Family: Queen Elizabeth II was its patron until her death in 2022 and was succeeded in the role by King Charles III, with Prince Edward as president.
No other show in Britain runs international competition across dressage, show jumping, carriage driving and endurance on one site. Alongside those sit more than 130 showing classes, spread across four arenas, for native breeds and types that appear on no other five-star schedule, and the same ground turns over from a Grand Prix to a military display within an afternoon.
The 2027 show runs from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 May, closing with the Rolex Grand Prix on the Sunday. More than 50,000 people come across the five days. The evening performance on the final nights is a pageant staged under lights in the main arena rather than a competition, which is the part most visitors remember. Jaguar Land Rover, Hermès, Rolex and Pol Roger are among the sponsors that keep the week at that standard, which is a longer list of luxury houses than any other British equestrian fixture carries.
