The summer fair founded by the team behind Masterpiece returns to the Royal Hospital Chelsea with antiquity, old masters, jewellery, design and rare books on one vetted floor.
Treasure House Fair, the summer fair started by the founders of Masterpiece, returns to the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea from Wednesday 23 to Tuesday 29 June 2027.
Thomas Woodham-Smith and Harry van der Hoorn co-founded Masterpiece in 2009. They started Treasure House Fair in 2023 as a multidisciplinary, highly selective fair, open to the curious as well as the committed collector.
Dealers from around the world bring work spanning thousands of years. The floor runs from antiquity and old masters to modern and contemporary art, jewellery, furniture, design and rare books.
The fair takes over the grounds of Christopher Wren’s hospital for one week each summer, at the height of London’s season. The 2026 edition marked 90 years since the 1936 International Surrealist Exhibition in London, with 40 works lent by Southampton City Art Gallery. Jewellery led its preview, from a 1634 memento mori pendant to a 1970 Cartier bracelet by Aldo Cipullo.
The 2027 fair opens with a preview day on Wednesday 23 June. Before it opens, independent specialist vetters examine every object for authenticity, attribution, provenance, condition, restoration and alteration. Each is also checked against the Art Loss Register.
