Muse return to The O2 arena for two nights on Sunday 15 and Monday 16 November 2026, touring the album The Wow Signal.
Muse formed in Teignmouth in 1994, three teenagers from a Devon seaside town with nothing to do, and have been the same three ever since: Matt Bellamy singing and playing guitar, Chris Wolstenholme on bass, Dominic Howard on drums. Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry established the sound at the turn of the century — falsetto, distortion, and a piano technique borrowed from Rachmaninov — and Black Holes and Revelations in 2006 turned them into a stadium band without their having to soften anything.
Nine albums in they remain the least embarrassed rock band in Britain. The subject matter is conspiracy, surveillance and apocalypse, the arrangements keep getting larger, and the live production has always been the point rather than the packaging. The Resistance in 2009 and Drones in 2015 both took the Grammy for best rock album, and no British band of their era has sold arenas for longer without a line-up change.
The Wow Signal is the tenth, released on 26 June 2026 and trailed by “Nightshift Superstar”. They play The O2 arena on Sunday 15 and Monday 16 November 2026, a return to the room after years of stadiums, with special guests still unnamed. An arena is the smaller room for them now, which is the reason to take the night. Two nights, and the special guests are still unnamed two months out.
