The King's Ransom

Stuart Slade’s new play runs at the Donmar Warehouse from Saturday 5 December 2026 to Saturday 6 February 2027. The theatre bills it as a Southern-fried dark comedy about grief, redemption and spectacularly bad decisions, inspired by one of the strangest crime stories in American history. It holds the Donmar’s Christmas and new-year slot, which the house gives to a new play rather than to a seasonal revival. Nine weeks makes it the longest of the theatre’s three announced runs this season.
