The winter Decorative Fair runs in Battersea Park from 19 to 24 January 2027, some 130 specialist dealers with LARTA on the mezzanine.
Battersea Park has held this fair since 1997, and the temporary structure it raised there was the first of its kind in London, copied since by most of the city’s other fairs. The event itself is older, launched in 1985 by the family that still owns it to bring the antiques and interior design trades under one roof. Its dateline reaches 1979, so a Georgian chest and a Danish cabinet from 1972 stand on the same floor without either looking out of place.
The three editions a year are not the same fair repeated. Dealers read the season, and January is when an interior is at its darkest, so the winter floor tilts toward what lifts a room in the months before spring. Period and modernist lighting, mirrors, studio glass, silver, crystal and contemporary painting are all better represented here than in May.
The winter fair runs from Tuesday 19 to Sunday 24 January 2027, with around 130 exhibitors. The London Antique Rug and Textile Art Fair takes the mezzanine for the same run, fifteen dealers in carpets, tribal weaving and antique textiles. A courtesy coach runs from Sloane Square every quarter of an hour, which is the practical reason the London trade treats a park in Battersea as central. Exhibitors are invited rather than admitted, and only from established businesses in Britain and Europe.
