London Fashion Week February 2027

London Fashion Week has run twice a year since the British Fashion Council founded it in 1984, and the February season is the smaller and stranger of the two. It shows autumn and winter collections in the coldest week of the London year, to a trade that has already been to New York and will go on to Milan and Paris, which means the city has to give buyers a reason to stop rather than to pass through. It has generally done that with new names.

That is the Council’s stated purpose and its NEWGEN scheme is the mechanism, funding and staging first collections for designers who could not otherwise put on a show. More than 5,000 press and buyers come to the season, and a considerable number of them are here for the schedule’s opening days rather than its closing ones, which is the reverse of the other three cities.

The February 2027 season runs from Monday 1 February, hubbed at 180 The Strand. The runway shows are closed to all but press, buyers and guests of the house, so the week reaches everyone else through exhibitions, installations and the parties built around them. The schedule is published shortly before it opens and is the only place the private half of the week leaves a public trace. The February season shows the collections that reach shop floors the following autumn.
