The O2 arena hosts a different kind of comedy night on Monday 8 February 2027, when nine of Britain’s leading stand-ups appear for a cause founded on personal loss rather than booked for profit.
The Felix Foundation was set up by Cerys and Russell Howard after their son Felix died shortly after his birth in 2026. The bereavement midwife assigned to them had retrained for the work after losing her own baby, and the hospital gave them a cold cot, letting them keep Felix beside them and hold him for hours rather than minutes. Those hours are the reason the foundation exists.
Registered in England and Wales as charity 1218644, it pays for the three things that made the difference in that room: specialist training for midwives and neonatal staff, equipment such as cold cots, and private bereavement suites away from clinical wards. Grants go to hospital teams rather than families, drawn from one family’s own experience of the care they were given.
Howard hosts, with Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, John Bishop, Greg Davies, Aisling Bea, Mo Gilligan, Guz Khan and Michelle Wolf on the bill, and further names still to be announced. Everything raised goes to the foundation, and the bill was assembled out of friends and colleagues rather than booked, which is how nine comedians of that size come to share one arena stage for one night.
