Russell Howard hosts nine comedians at The O2 arena on Monday 8 February 2027 for the foundation he and his wife set up in their son Felix's name.
The Felix Foundation was set up by Cerys and Russell Howard after their son Felix died shortly after his birth in 2026. The bereavement midwife assigned to them had retrained for the work after losing her own baby, and the hospital gave them a cold cot, which let them keep Felix beside them and hold him for hours rather than minutes. Those hours are the reason the foundation exists, and the promise the two of them made on the ward is what it now funds.
Registered in England and Wales as charity 1218644, it pays for the three things that made the difference in that room: specialist training for midwives and neonatal staff, equipment such as cold cots, and private bereavement suites away from the clinical wards. Grants go to hospital teams rather than to families, and the trustees weigh each enquiry on what it would change in one particular unit. The brief is narrow on purpose, drawn from a single family’s experience of the care they were given.
Howard hosts the gala at The O2 arena on Monday 8 February 2027, with Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, John Bishop, Greg Davies, Aisling Bea, Mo Gilligan, Guz Khan and Michelle Wolf on the bill, and further names still to be announced. Everything raised goes to the foundation. The bill was assembled out of friends and colleagues rather than booked, which is how nine comedians of that size come to be on one arena stage for one night.
