MoBlack at KOKO

Saturday, 19 December 2026 KOKO · Camden

The Italian producer whose label helped carry Afro house and Afro tech to a global audience returns to the Theatre at KOKO for a December headline night.

MoBlack, the founder of MoBlack Records, headlines the Theatre at KOKO in Camden on Saturday 19 December 2026. The German producer Henrik Schwarz joins him on the bill.

He is an Italian producer who worked as a commercial manager in the food industry before music became his living. The years he spent living in Ghana shaped his relationship with African music and culture.

He built MoBlack Records around that connection, signing producers from South Africa and beyond. The label helped define Afro tech, the meeting of Afro house and melodic techno. He also served as A&R manager for the Afro house division of Traxsource, the house music download store.

His own records have come out on Defected, and “Yamore”, the track he names as the turning point of his career, travelled far beyond the clubs. He has played Tomorrowland, Watergate in Berlin, and Avant Gardner and House of Yes in New York.

London already knows him in this room. The night is his third headline date in the Victorian Theatre, after his two earlier nights there sold out.

Asked for three words to describe his sound, he chose hybrid, innovative and organic.
