The Dublin band play the biggest headline show of their career at London Stadium on Friday 9 July 2027, with Little Simz and Viagra Boys in support.
Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan III and Tom Coll have been Fontaines D.C. since 2014, when they met as music students in Dublin. Chatten sings, O’Connell and Curley play guitars, Deegan plays bass and Coll plays drums, and the D.C. stands for Dublin City. Dogrel arrived in 2019 and A Hero’s Death a year later, and Skinty Fia went to number one in both Britain and Ireland in 2022.
Romance, in 2024, went platinum in Britain, and their autumn arena tour, The O2 included, sold out on the morning this stadium show was announced. Dopamine Chamber, their fifth album, is released by XL Recordings on 16 October 2026 with James Ford producing, and moves further from the guitar language of their early records than anything they have made. It was recorded between London, the English countryside and Palermo, where Chatten sang his vocals in a booth built from mattresses and cushions, and he describes the finished record as a chamber the listener steps into to have mood-altering songs tried on them.
London Stadium on Friday 9 July 2027 is one of five outdoor headline shows the band announced for that summer, their biggest to date, and the only one in London. Little Simz and Viagra Boys support on every date. It is the first stadium Fontaines D.C. have headlined in London, in the park built for the city’s Olympic Games.
