The Marylebone Lane hotel has opened a members’ club where a hyperbaric chamber, cold plunges and a rooftop pool share the building with lounges, terraces and a calendar of member events.
Triplebond takes its name from its three ideas: activation, restoration and connection, kept under one roof. The club has opened inside The BoTree at 30 Marylebone Lane. Lounges, terraces, bars and a members’ events calendar come with every membership, including one that buys no wellness at all. The hotel calls it a social wellness members’ club.
Data before the first class
Every wellness membership begins with a health assessment. Through the testing company Stride Health, a new member has an analysis of more than 70 blood biomarkers, a gut microbiome test and DNA profiling, followed by a one-to-one call with an integrative health practitioner who turns the results into a plan for using the building.
The membership is then paid partly in credit. Of the Wellness tier’s £291 monthly fee, £200 comes back each month as Wellness Wallet credit for classes, bookable facilities and member events; on Wellness+, £475 of a £491 fee comes back. Both carry a £500 joining fee. A Social membership, at £125 a month with no joining fee, opens the social floors and the events calendar without the wellness programme. Founding memberships are offered on all three for those who join at the start.
Cold, heat and pressure
A hyperbaric oxygen chamber runs at 2.0 to 2.4 atmospheres, well above the 1.3 to 1.5 the club gives for mild chambers. An electric cryotherapy chamber reaches minus 100C for sessions of one to three minutes, cooled electrically rather than with the nitrogen of traditional systems. Three smart ice baths at 10 to 15C sit beside full-length red and near-infrared light panels, and a contrast suite pairs a 40C infrared sauna with a 10C plunge. A red light bed with 42,000 LEDs works in 12-minute sessions.
Training happens in The Bassment, a heated studio where classes are set to music, with six formats across three temperature settings, from sculpt and barre to breathwork. A lymphatic lounge uses compression boots against a lit Himalayan salt wall, and a decompress lounge has a massage chair that scans the body before it starts.
A rooftop for members only
Every triplebond facility is reserved for members, the rooftop pool and bar included; only the gym is shared with hotel guests during their stay. Members may bring up to three guests into the social spaces at a time, and the membership carries discounts at LAVO, the hotel’s restaurant, and on rooms at The BoTree. The club publishes no private hire of its own; the hotel’s meeting, party and wedding spaces sit with The BoTree.
