/ About
Voyage with Adam Simmonds was the signature restaurant of The Megaro hotel, facing King's Cross and St Pancras across Euston Road, with its own entrance at the front of the building. Adam Simmonds trained under Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons and won a Michelin star at Ynyshir Hall and another at Danesfield House before taking this room as chef patron.
The cooking looked to Scandinavia: foraged, fermented and pickled seasonal produce, set out as a sequenced tasting menu with a meat-free version, or as three courses drawn from it. The wine list ran to more than 150 wines, and the alcohol-free pairings were given the same attention as the wine. The dining room had tall arched windows and pale natural wood, and the old central bar became an open kitchen with a counter, so guests could eat at the pass or at a table further back.
For private events the whole restaurant seated 70. A private dining room fitted out like a railway carriage, with brass luggage racks, sat twelve at one long table, and the kitchen tailored its menus for business lunches and small parties.
