/ About

The Belvedere sits within the greenery of Holland Park, in the former summer ballroom of Holland House. Built in the 17th century as the estate's stable block and later remodelled as an orangery and ballroom, it survived the wartime bombing that destroyed most of the house around it, then spent decades as a garden restaurant. In December 2022 it reopened under George Bukhov-Weinstein and Ilya Demichev, the team behind Goodman and Wild Tavern, who kept the setting and rebuilt the kitchen around Italian cooking.

The main dining room is warm and plant-filled, with arched windows onto the park, a fireplace and panels of stained glass. Upstairs, the Torrino room is a private space of its own, with mullioned windows over the trees, a brick fireplace and a private bar; a terrace opens onto the gardens through the warmer months. Approached along a path through the park rather than off a street, the restaurant feels a long way from the traffic of Kensington High Street a few minutes' walk away.

Weddings and celebrations have long been part of the Belvedere's trade, and the whole venue takes exclusive hire across both floors for up to 120 seated or 200 standing. Smaller rooms handle private dinners of a dozen upwards, and the events team works to bespoke menus.
