/ About

Osip is Merlin Labron-Johnson's farm-to-table restaurant with rooms, now set in a renovated former country inn on Kingsettle Hill, a mile or so outside Bruton at the foot of a pine forest. It left the centre of the town for this building, and the MICHELIN Guide notes that the move kept the pared-back elegance of the original. The menu changes daily and is built on produce from the restaurant's own nearby farms.

The rooms are quiet and considered: white walls, open beams, linen-dressed tables and art on the walls. Four bedrooms sit directly above the restaurant, so a dinner can end with guests staying the night, walking the gardens or taking an after-dinner drink by the fire.

For a private occasion there are two routes. The private dining room, tucked into a recess of the restaurant, seats up to 14 around one table, with a sommelier at the table for the evening. The whole restaurant is also available for exclusive hire by arrangement with the reservations team.
