/ About
Opso brought modern Greek cooking to Marylebone in 2014, opened by a team whose Athens restaurant, Funky Gourmet, held two Michelin stars. The Paddington Street dining room is bright and unfussy: pale wood, marble-topped tables, a blue steel framework overhead and a long counter where the kitchen sends out plates built on Greek produce.
The restaurant runs across two floors. Above, the main room seats guests around a communal marble bar and leather banquettes, with pavement tables in warmer months. Below, The Larder is a private dining room set among the floor-to-ceiling curing chambers where the chefs age selected Greek delicacies, with its own bar pouring Greek liqueur cocktails.
For a private event, The Larder seats up to 44 or holds 80 standing, and the whole restaurant can be taken exclusively for 80 seated or 130 for a reception. Menus are curated around the season, and the downstairs bar makes it a natural fit for a celebration, a birthday or a company dinner.
