Michael Nadra Primrose Hill

Michael Nadra's Primrose Hill restaurant sits in a split-level Victorian building on Gloucester Avenue, a short walk from the canal and Camden. The kitchen cooks a modern European menu drawn from British, French and Asian ingredients, and a martini bar anchors the front of the room, backed by a wine list of more than two hundred bins.

The layout is what makes it work for a private event. Beyond the main dining room and the bar sit a set of distinct spaces: the Fireplace Room, built around a raised hearth set into a concrete niche; the Conservatory, glazed and skylit above the terrace; a planted garden terrace for warmer evenings; and the Horse Tunnel, a Grade II listed brick vault at the centre of the building. Rooms can be taken individually or in combination, and the whole restaurant is available for exclusive hire, seating up to eighty with receptions to a hundred and twenty.

Private events run any day of the week, including Mondays and Tuesdays when the restaurant is otherwise closed. The martini and cocktail list carries a reception through the evening, and the tunnel and fireplace room are the quieter, more enclosed of the spaces.
