MOI opened on Wardour Street in July 2025, the first restaurant from Artem Login's MAD Restaurants group. Group executive chef Andy Cook, previously of the Gordon Ramsay Group, and head chef Nick Tannett, formerly of Evernight, cook British seafood and seasonal produce through a Japanese lens, with an open-fire binchotan grill at the centre of the kitchen and a menu of small plates, skewers and larger sharing dishes.

The Yodezeen-designed room runs across two floors and 150 covers, built from reclaimed timber, raw concrete and tree-trunk columns, with a poured-concrete spiral staircase linking the levels. The ground floor holds the main dining room around its open kitchen; the lower ground carries a 16-seat omakase counter and the Yutori private dining room, which takes up to 18 on a single table or 24 across two.

The lower ground is also home to the Listening Room, a 40-seat hi-fi bar modelled on the vinyl dens of Tokyo and Shinjuku, with a bespoke sound system, guest record residencies and DJ takeovers Wednesday to Saturday. Dino Koletsas leads the drinks: a low-intervention wine list alongside sake, shochu and cocktails built on Japanese technique. The Listening Room takes private takeovers, and the restaurant is available for semi- and fully-exclusive hire.
