ALTA

ALTA takes its name from Alta Navarra, the stretch of northern Spain running from Pamplona to Donostia, and cooks almost everything over fire. Rob Roy Cameron launched the kitchen in Kingly Court in September 2025 after a decade in Spanish kitchens, including Albert Adria's 41 Degrees in Barcelona; Robbie Jameson took over as head chef in 2026. The menu is built for sharing, the wine list favours low-intervention producers and small European vineyards, and there is cider from UK makers alongside sherries and vermouths.

The room does the rest. Bare brick hung with two large figurative canvases, hand-worked clay walls with a cracked relief running through them, herringbone floors and rust-coloured banquettes, lit low and warm. The private dining room seats twelve at a single oval table under one black light bar, with windows over Carnaby Street. Bar ALTA opened on the ground floor and terrace in summer 2026, a looser pintxos counter that reads as its own room rather than a spillover.

For a private evening, the dining room can be taken on an exclusive basis for forty seated or eighty standing, with a private bar and a dedicated cloakroom. Every enquiry is handled by the reservations and events manager alongside the front-of-house team, and the spaces can be taken together or separately. The MICHELIN Guide lists it.
