/ About

Bob Bob Ricard opened just off Regent Street in 2008 and has been Soho's most theatrical dining room ever since. Leonid Shutov built it as an all-booth restaurant, every table screened for privacy and fitted with the brass "Press for Champagne" button that became its calling card. David Collins designed the interiors around the Orient Express and the golden age of rail travel: lacquered wood, marble tabletops, gold rails, jewel-blue leather and a mirrored ceiling that throws light across the room. The menu runs through British and French classics, from Beef Wellington and chicken Kyiv to caviar and oysters, alongside an all-day Diner Deluxe carte.

The room is famous for pouring more champagne than anywhere else in Britain, and the booth layout makes the whole place feel like a series of private compartments. Two dining rooms anchor the venue: the blue upstairs room with its central bar, and a downstairs Red Room finished in red and gold, modelled on a Pullman carriage. A separate Private Dining Room, styled after a royal dining carriage, sits behind its own doors for smaller parties.

For events the rooms can be taken on their own or the restaurant booked exclusively. The booths, the late midnight close and the sheer drama of the David Collins interior make it a natural fit for a celebration that carries on with music once the plates are cleared.
