Opened in June 2024, Mandarin Oriental Mayfair is the first new-build hotel in Mayfair in over a decade: a 50-room property at 22 Hanover Square designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, with interiors by Tokyo-based Curiosity. The public spaces are built around a soaring triple-height atrium lit by a glass skylight, anchored by a sweeping green marble spiral staircase and a sculptural timber vortex wall. Downstairs, ABar Lounge operates a cocktail programme with live DJs on weekends, its gold-panelled ceiling and deep velvet booths making it one of the most DJ-ready rooms in the hotel.

At the top of the building, Hanover Bar occupies the rooftop with a cloud-inspired chandelier, Breccia Fantastique stone floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows that pull in the London skyline from Hampstead Heath to the London Eye. The outdoor terrace, accessed via private lift through a glass cube entrance, runs to 1am on Thursday through Saturday nights, with DJ sets from 7pm. Three private dining rooms named Chi, Sui and Ka (after earth, water and fire) sit adjacent to the Atrium Restaurant, offering intimate settings for boards of four to combined receptions for twenty.

The property is as much a platform for music as it is a hotel. ABar Lounge was conceived with late-night DJ programming in mind, Hanover Bar carries a late licence on weekends, and the building's boutique scale means private hire of either space delivers something genuinely rare: a rooftop or an atmospheric lounge bar in Mayfair, with in-house catering and 50 bedrooms above for guests who stay the night.

The main dining room set within a triple-height glass skylight atrium, defined by a dramatic timber vortex wall (a laser-cut sculptural installation) and a sweeping green marble staircase. The contemporary European menu runs from breakfast and lunch service; the space is available for evening exclusive hire.
