The Connaught

The hotel's largest event space, on the lower ground floor and designed by Guy Oliver as a ballroom with a modern edge: full-length antique mirrors, hand-designed chandeliers, 1920s lavender silk wall patterns and a sprung parquet floor. An in-house sound system and a retractable cinema screen make it one of the few hotel rooms genuinely built for dancing. Holds up to 180 for a reception and can divide into two.

The most versatile space, on the ground floor directly above the Mayfair Room, with maple panelling, a mirrored ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows and its own bar. Daylight by day, candlelit by night; suits intimate dinners, receptions and private screenings for up to 100 and can be split in two.

A jewel-box salon off the Connaught Bar, seating up to twenty beneath a circular ceiling oculus, with its own back bar, panelled walls and a deep navy banquette. An intimate option for a private reception or celebration with dedicated bar service.

A bright, intimate salon on the ground floor lined with silvered oak panelling, hung with original art and lit by natural daylight, with views over Tom Stuart-Smith's Garden of Illusion. Seats up to ten for a private dinner or boardroom-style meeting.

A first-floor Georgian salon overlooking Carlos Place, with an ornate mantelpiece, an ebony table ringed by red leather chairs, original artwork and a grand period window. Calm and discreet, for a private dinner or meeting of up to ten.

David Collins' platinum silver-leaf room, framed by Art Deco lines and Cubist detailing, with green leather tub chairs and round marble tables. Repeatedly ranked among the World's 50 Best Bars under Agostino Perrone. The signature space for a drinks reception with cocktails from one of London's most decorated teams.

The quieter of the hotel's bars, overlooking Carlos Place: an ornate plaster ceiling, a gilt chandelier, a mirrored back bar of rare spirits and green velvet armchairs. A warm, characterful setting for a relaxed reception.
