Los Mochis Notting Hill

On the corner of Farmer Street, a few steps from Notting Hill Gate, Los Mochis works two floors of exposed brick, festoon-lit greenery and vivid Mexican folk art around a menu that reads Tokyo one moment and Tulum the next. Sashimi, maki and tiradito share the table with ceviche and tacos, and a flower-framed shrine to Yoda presides over the ground floor as fair warning not to take any of it too seriously.

The ground-floor dining room opens through bifold doors onto a patio for the warmer months, while the first-floor room runs bright beneath wall-to-wall windows. A lounge and the Agaveria bar hold one of the UK's largest collections of tequila and mezcal, and JUNO, a six-seat omakase counter, sits hidden in a private room within the restaurant. Taken in full the venue holds 175 for a standing reception; the two dining floors also hire exclusively on their own.

The events team looks after music, DJs, live musicians, florists and décor, which makes the ground floor a natural fit for a DJ-led celebration once the tables are cleared.
