Lilli by Akira Back

Lilli by Akira Back is the restaurant and bar of Montcalm Mayfair, set in a Grade II listed crescent on Wallenberg Place, a few minutes’ walk from Marble Arch. It opened with the hotel in April 2025. The cooking follows Akira Back, the Seoul-born chef: Korean flavour, Japanese technique and seasonal British produce on a menu built for sharing, with Roger Hutchinson as head chef. The hotel describes it as Akira Back’s only restaurant in the UK.

The dining room takes its light from a large installation that the hotel says was inspired by a lion’s mane flower. The bar has its own door on Wallenberg Place, plush green seating, a bespoke chandelier and a hand-painted ceiling mural by the British artist Will Foster. Its cocktails set English garden botanicals such as quince and elderflower beside sake, yuzu and sakura.

For a private dinner, Bloom seats up to 14 and serves from Lilli’s own menu. The hotel’s events team also lists the 114-square-metre restaurant for receptions of up to 70 and the bar for up to 150 standing.
