/ About
34 Mayfair opened off Grosvenor Square in November 2011 as Caprice Holdings' first new restaurant launch, and it reads as one of the group's most confident rooms: a 100-cover grill floor designed by Martin Brudnizki, who pulled the interior across the arc from Edwardian panelling to Art Deco brass. The signature bar sits at the centre of the room under a curved brass canopy, backlit shelves stacked floor to ceiling, and it does double duty as the restaurant's social heart — a house pianist plays Sunday to Wednesday, a jazz trio takes over Thursday to Saturday.
The kitchen runs on a custom-built Argentine parrilla grill, imported specifically for the restaurant and still the backbone of a menu built around dry-aged steaks, game and fish. Leather-backed dining chairs, dark wood panelling and a run of framed prints give the ground floor a clubby, unhurried feel that suits a long lunch as easily as a late dinner.
Upstairs, the first-floor Emin Room is the venue's dedicated private space — Tracey Emin RA's own neon works line its walls, next to a marble-topped bar and a grand piano tucked into a window bay. It is built for exactly the kind of evening this room does well: a private dinner that drifts into a standing reception without anyone having to change rooms.

Exclusive Hire
Exclusive HireFull exclusive hire of the restaurant and bar floor, the two areas run as one continuous room under the brass canopy that frames the bar. It is the same floor guests walk into for dinner service, dressed up: round and long tables can be reconfigured around the bar for a standing reception, with the leather booths and art-lined bay windows kept in place.
