Cantinetta Antinori

Cantinetta Antinori brings the Florentine wine dynasty's London table to Harriet Street, a quiet turn off Sloane Street at the top of Knightsbridge. The house takes its name from the original Cantinetta on the ground floor of Palazzo Antinori in Florence, opened in 1957, and the London room follows the same idea: Tuscan cooking and the family's estate wines in a dining room of deep blue and gold, hung with Tuscan majolica and the Antinori arms.

The restaurant runs over two floors. The ground floor gathers around a bar stacked with the family's labels, with views to the street. Above it, a calmer set of dining rooms divides into two for smaller parties, and a separate private dining room seats up to ten with its own sound system. Live music plays in the evenings, and in warmer months a short terrace opens onto the pavement.

For a private event the whole restaurant can be taken over, seating up to ninety-five across both floors, while the first-floor rooms and the private dining room book on their own for dinners, celebrations and receptions. The kitchen offers set menus or menus built to the occasion, and the cellar is a large part of the appeal, with Antinori vintages poured close to the source.
