/ About
Caia sits at 46 Golborne Road, at the north end of Notting Hill, under a small awning that is easy to walk past. It opened in 2022, named after the Roman goddess of fire, and the cooking still runs on the grill. Executive chef John Javier writes a menu of European bistro plates built on an Asian pantry and made to share, while Richard Hiddleston runs the bar. The restaurant is listed in the MICHELIN Guide.
The ground floor holds the bar and the open kitchen, with the Wine Room at the back: a semi-private table for up to twelve, with the wine collection on one side and a view into the kitchen on the other. Downstairs, the Green Room keeps the house record library and its turntables. Vinyl DJs play there from Wednesday to Saturday, until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, with dinner served alongside.
For a private evening the Green Room can be taken whole, seating 30 or holding 40, or shared on a semi-exclusive basis for groups of up to 21. A full buyout opens both floors to 53 seated or 75 guests, with the restaurant, the bar and the Green Room working as one.
