/ About

Suzi Tros is the younger sibling of Mazi, the Notting Hill Greek restaurant run by Christophe Mouratoglou and Adrien Carré, and it sits a few doors along the same quiet Hillgate Village street. The cooking looks north, to Thessaloniki and the tavernas of northern Greece, and the room follows suit: caramel leather banquettes, black bentwood chairs and a wall of woven rattan mirrors above a patterned tile floor. Fay Maschler singled out the courgette flowers and the house bread; the name, borrowed from a 1960s Greek film, roughly means 'Suzy, you eat'.

Set over two floors, the ground-floor dining room gives way to a cocktail bar in the basement, so a private gathering can begin at the table and carry on over drinks below. It takes private-hire enquiries for celebrations and intimate dinners, and its neighbourhood scale keeps things close and unhurried rather than grand.
