nimino, the British producer behind “I Only Smoke When I Drink”, plays two headline nights at Outernet Live in the West End on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October 2026. Montee opens both evenings.

Milo Evans grew up in the UK and began making music as a teenager, stitching loops together on a laptop as a way to channel his ADHD.

His first release as nimino, in 2013, was a slowed, bass-heavy take on the Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind”. In 2020 he began a series called songs for people you may know, writing tracks to ideas sent in by fans. One request for a festival opener became “Opening Credits” in 2022.

That single, released in 2024, has passed 250 million streams and entered the UK Singles Chart. Signed to Counter Records, the Ninja Tune imprint, he has played Coachella, Lollapalooza, Field Day and Cercle.

Both nights at the room off Charing Cross Road carry the small cartoon figure found on every nimino sleeve. Evans describes it as a character on an expedition through different spaces and sounds, with each release taking it somewhere else.
