Katy Perry, the pop star whose Teenage Dream yielded five US number ones, brought The Lifetimes Tour to The O2 arena for two nights, her first UK tour in over seven years.
Katy Perry, who holds seven diamond certifications in the United States, brought The Lifetimes Tour to The O2 arena in North Greenwich on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 October 2025. It was her first UK tour in over seven years.
Perry was born Katheryn Hudson in Santa Barbara, California, in 1984, the daughter of Pentecostal pastors. At 16 she released a gospel album under her own name, then moved to Los Angeles and signed to Capitol Records.
One of the Boys, in 2008, took “I Kissed a Girl” to the top of the US chart. Teenage Dream followed in 2010 and remains the only album by a woman to produce five US number ones, among them “California Gurls” and “Firework”.
She was the first artist with several videos past a billion views on YouTube. In April 2025 she flew into space aboard a Blue Origin rocket, and 143, her 2024 album, supplied the newest songs.
The show was staged as a video game in five levels and opened with “Artificial”, from 143. In one interlude, Choose Your Own Adventure, the crowd voted for a surprise song, and the vote brought “The One That Got Away”.
