Whiteley's Kitchen, Bar & Café

Whiteley's Kitchen, Bar & Café opened on 1 March 2026 inside Six Senses London at The Whiteley, the restored Bayswater department store whose founder, William Whiteley, gives the place its name. It runs from morning to late: a café with breads and viennoiserie baked in-house, a restaurant of seasonal British cooking, and a cocktail bar that stays open into the evening.

Executive Chef Eliano Crespi, from Milan, and Head Chef Jose Jara cook a vegetable-led menu of British produce, with fire, fermentation and preservation at its centre. Fermentation specialist Jelena Belgrave runs the kitchen's ferments and preserves, and Wine Director Eugenio Egorov keeps a list that leans towards natural and small-scale producers. Every cocktail at the bar is written to work with or without alcohol.

The dining room sits under a timbered ceiling hung with paper lanterns, with caned chairs on a marble floor and an open kitchen at one end. For a private occasion there is a Chef's Table at the pass, an apothecary-style Alchemy Bar lined with jars of ferments and cordials, and a courtyard for summer receptions. Enquire for exclusive use.
